Welcome to my Life of Ben blog

Welcome to my latest venture. This is meant to be a companion to my weekly podcast, Life of Ben. I'll try to use this space to post pictures and other items that can't be shared via the podcast.

What better way to start picture diary than with a picture of my family. As crazy as they may all be, what would I do without them?

Jacob's looks sure have changed over the last year. I think you can really see that in this pic. For those of you who know Jamie, I think he's looking more and more like him with each year.

You may recognize part of this picture from the cover of episode 6 of Life of Ben. You might think this looks like something crazy to be doing inside, but it's something we've done together ever since I moved into this house. Jacob starts in his room and I'm standing in the living room holding the football. We can't see each other from these vantage points. I say go, and he starts running from his room and dives onto the bed. I throw the football before he can see it. As he's in his midair dive he has to adjust to the flying football and try to catch it. I'm convinced this is where he first developed his goalie skills for soccer.

Here's another picture you may recognize, but I really like it and wanted to include it on my first blog page. This is Rachel intently studying the Boggle board. She has gone on a Boggle spree recently. And while I hate to admit it, she's been besting me on a regular basis. DANG!!! I'm gonna have to come up with a new strategy. Maybe I could try the throwing the board technique that is so famous. :)
